適意
獨坐自彈琴。獨吟頻擧酒。旣不負吾耳。又不負吾口。何須待知音。亦莫須飮友。適意則爲歡。此言吾必取。
Finding Contentment
Alone I sit and pluck my zither, Solitary, I hum and raise my cup. My ears are satisfied, My lips are pleased. Why seek a kindred spirit? Why need a drinking companion? When the heart finds its accord, Joy arrives unbidden. This ancient wisdom I embrace: It is the truth I must pursue.
